Volunteer at National Jewish Health

Students looking for a career in health or health research might want to take note of the volunteer opportunities at National Jewish Health.

National Jewish has been a leading name in not only treatment of respiratory illnesses and diagnosis, but also research. They have also excelled in  immunology, cardiology and treating related diseases for more than a century.

For volunteers they ask for a time commitment of four hours a week between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Benefits to volunteering at the Denver hospital include:

  • Knowledge and satisfaction that you are helping others in need
  • On-the-job training and career enhancement
  • Complimentary cafeteria meal per shift
  • Free parking
  • Annual volunteer recognition events
  • Invitation to participate in staff events
  • Influenza shots
  • Access to our on-site pharmacy
  • Access to our on-site medical library

The first step is completing the online volunteer application here, where you can also get more information on the hospital and what it takes to be a volunteer.
