Summer leadership program in Aspen

If you are an ambitious high school junior or educator who bring “energy, excellence and a desire to create positive change in your community,” The Aspen Institute’s 2014 Bezos Scholarship Program wants you this summer! Thirty top students and leading educators from across the U.S. and Africa will be selected to participate in this change-making program in beautiful Aspen, Colorado. The deadline to apply is February 18, 2014.

From the program’s website:

“When given the opportunity, young people have the power to tackle some of the most pressing issues of our time. The Bezos Scholars Program provides the platform to do just that.

The Bezos Scholars Program @ the Aspen Institute is a year-long leadership development program for public high school juniors and educators to put their education into action. It begins with a scholarship to attend the Aspen Ideas Festival and continues through the following school year when Bezos Scholar teams return home to launch sustainable, Local Ideas Festivals that transform their schools and communities.”
