Party hearty for other kids

Talk about a fantastic deal: you get to celebrate the end of summer with awesome food and music, and the money you spend will benefit a local nonprofit that helps thousands of Colorado kids.

Save the date: Sept. 8. When: Noon to 6 p.m. Where? Denver’s Park Hill neighborhood, along 26th Avenue between Holly and Glencoe streets. Admission is free. Got that? Free! A percentage of the money you spend on food and the unique items you’ll find on sale from local artists and merchants will go to Denver Area Youth Services, “a local non-profit that provides comprehensive human services to 2,000 children, youth, and families in the greater Denver area each year.”

The music lineup includes “rock and reggae favorites Project 3, boogie-woogie blues man Sammy Dee Morton, soulful Motown from Sugar Hi-5, and the danceable pop-fusion of The Symbols.”
