On the (job) hunt in Colorado

It is never too early to plan a smart and satisfying summer in Colorado — which is why you really need to know about the Governor’s Summer Job Hunt Program.

Since the program started in 1981, more than 500,000 youth ages 16-21 have used it to find great gigs. Colorado youth who register to participate will meet with a jobs counselor, who helps them match their interests and skills with local job openings. Colorado employers participating in the program need all kinds of help and offer hourly wages ranging from $7.64 to more than $11.

To be even more helpful, the program’s website provides information about how to get a job and keep it — tips about everything from writing a resume and marketing yourself to how to dress for an interview.
