Local siblings honored as 7Everyday Heroes

Local siblings honored as 7Everyday Heroes

It’s that time of year when friends, family, food and, of course, football fill our thoughts and homes. And, while the attitude of gratitude increases dramatically as Thanksgiving draws near, we’d say it takes a pretty special kid — or kids — to come up with a fun and creative way to help feed area residents in need of a little help this holiday season.

Meet Duncan, Dylan and Isabella Frost who came up with the idea of a Turkey Bowl  eight years ago. They said: ‘Let’s play football and the price of admission is a turkey.’ And a tradition was born.

This year, the trio scored big, with Turkey Bowl VIII participants donating 60 turkeys and $400 to the Denver Rescue Mission.

BraveTracks salutes the Frost kids for their compassion and commitment to the Denver community. Congratulations on being named Channel 7Everyday Heroes.

Duncan, Dylan and Isabella would like to remind  BraveTracks’ readers that the Denver Rescue Mission has a long way to go to reach its donation goal of 15,000 turkeys, and encourages you to please reach out to family and friends to help those less fortunate this Thanksgiving.
