Earn money, scholarship opp this summer

If you are between the ages of 13 and 18 and are interested in working as a golf caddie this summer, check out the First Tee of Denver’s caddie program. The deadline to apply is April 19, 2014.

First Tee of Denver runs a small caddie program at the City of Denver’s five courses: City Park, Willis Case, Wellshire, Kennedy, and Overland. Caddies are not paid an hourly wage, working instead entirely off of tips. Eight caddies will be selected for this year’s program.

But, First Tee is much more than a summer caddie program! According to its website, “The main purpose of our caddie program is to help students fulfill their caddie requirements for The Evans Scholarship at the Eisenhower Branch located at the University of Colorado. It is a full tuition scholarship along with housing for all four years of college. It is a very prestigious and very competitive scholarship. To date 6 kids from The First Tee of Denver programs have received the scholarship.”
