Bank a year with the YAC advisory board

Bank a year with the YAC advisory board

If you’re a student interested in learning more about banking, business, nonprofits, philanthropy and leadership, consider applying for the Young Americans Center for Financial Education Youth Advisory Board, based in Denver. The deadline to apply is June 28, 2014.

The Center (which is home to Young Americans Bank)  is looking for rising 8th – 12th grade students to join its 2014-2015 Youth Advisory Board. Members are selected through an application and interview process. Monthly board meetings are required and will take place the third Saturday of each month, August 2014 through May 2015, from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., with the exception of December.

Applicants should be enthusiastic, interested and committed — no prior experience is required! It’s an excellent opportunity to hone one’s leadership skills and learn more about the banking and business processes.

Youth Advisory Board members will provide a youth perspective to the adult board and management. Members are eligible to become lifetime members of the alumni association after serving for a year.

Who knows? Serving on the Youth Americans Youth Advisory Board might very well help shape your college and career plans!
