A film for environmental enthusiasts

Using revolutionary time-lapse photography, the movie Chasing Ice captures many years of changes in the world’s glaciers.

It’s an eye-opening, breathtaking experience that helps people understand how ancient mountains of ice are disappearing at troubling rates. The film was made by photographer James Balog, who was once a skeptic about climate change. But through his Extreme Ice Survey, Balog found undeniable evidence of our changing planet.

What Balog found is important for everyone to know, and the resulting film is now playing at a few movie theaters in Colorado. You can find locations and showtimes here.
