You really can make your own money by running your own business — and a new program sweeping Denver Public Schools will get you off to a roaring start.
Operation Hope’s Business in a Box program launched originally at Montbello High School and now is spreading to the rest of the district, according to The Denver Post.

The program gives high school students the chance to choose from at least 25 businesses that could be launched with $500 or less. Participants conceptualize goods and services in those areas of business and pitch their ideas before a live audience of role models from their community for a chance to receive a HOPE Business In A Box Youth Entrepreneurship Grant, a savings account — and even a business role model.

Another great thing about the program? It teaches students how to spend, save and budget wisely.
